What my 4-year old taught me about Martin Luther King:

Dr. Martin Luther King was very important.

He taught us about love and kindness

He fought with his words, not with his hands.

He got killed.

It is so mean to make someone die.  You should just let them die on their own.

You should never shoot someone, especially with a gun.

Charlotte really had it all figured out, thanks to her Pre-K teacher.  Her one question:
Is Dr. Martin Luther King a doctor AND a king?

Which is  little hard to explain when her association of those roles are with needles and Simba’s dad, respectively.

What have YOU learned about Dr. King from your kids?
